Every great snack starts with a brave bite.
A bold idea. A what-if.
So today, I donned my apron (and goggles for dramatic effect) and transformed the kitchen into a Snack Lab.
Mission:
Create the next great plushie treat.
Status:
Highly experimental. Possibly delicious. Definitely messy.
🧃 Test 1: Jam on Cheese Puffs
Inspiration: Sweet + salty = legendary
Execution: Delicate squish of berry jam over crunchy curl
Doggie’s Review: Surprisingly fancy. Like high tea at a sleepover.
Pandy’s Review: “This tastes like confusion.”
Mini Blue’s Reaction: Stared at it, then at me, then hid it behind a cracker.
🍌 Test 2: Banana Coins + Pickle Slices
Inspiration: Round foods deserve each other
Execution: Stacked like plushie sushi
Doggie’s Review: Tangy! Sweet! Emotional!
Pandy’s Review: “No.”
Mini Blue’s Reaction: Made a face I’d never seen before and retreated under a napkin.
🥜 Test 3: Peanut Butter + Dried Seaweed
Inspiration: Texture layering, with a hint of chaos
Execution: Spread like a scroll, rolled like destiny
Doggie’s Review: Crunchy. Nutty. Mysterious. I might be a genius.
Pandy’s Review: “…I need a palate reset.”
Mini Blue’s Reaction: Licked it. Floated backwards slowly.
🍩 Final Creation: The Crumb Bomb
Ingredients: Crushed cookie bits, one marshmallow, pretzel dust, a chocolate chip, and friendship
Execution: Rolled into a bite-sized, highly unstable orb
Doggie’s Review: Perfect. Soft on the outside, joy in the middle.
Pandy’s Review: “Actually… yes.”
Mini Blue’s Reaction: Sparkled. Literally. (??)
📋 Conclusion:
Not every snack is a success.
Some are… learning moments. Some are cautionary tales.
Some make your best friend question your life choices.
But every bite was an adventure.
And sometimes, the best part of a snack isn’t the flavor—it’s the friends who taste-test with you anyway.
🐾 Lab Notes from Doggie:
Clean up is important (especially when jam hits the ceiling).
Pandy has a very expressive chewing face.
Mini Blue is still under the table. I think they’re meditating.
