Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovey-dovey stuff—it’s about celebrating the ones who always have your back, even when you accidentally sit on their snacks (sorry again, Pandy).

This year, Pandy and I decided to make it a celebration of plushie friendship, filled with thoughtful gestures, sweet treats, and a few mildly chaotic surprises. Here's how it went!

Morning: Operation Prezzie Drop

I started the day sneaking around the house, delivering tiny prezzies to all my favorite plushies. Mini Blue got a tiny plush heart pillow and a strawberry-scented sticker. Pandy? He got a tin of his favorite Earl Grey and a handmade bookmark that says:
"You’re the calm to my crunch."
(He blushed. I saw it.)

Midday: Friendship Feast

We made a lunch spread of all our favorite treats:

• Heart-shaped cheese slices (Pandy’s idea)

• Mini cookie sampler (my idea)

• Marshmallow roses (our shared idea)
  
  

We played soft music, took turns reading friendship quotes, and I may have shouted “TO FRIENDSHIP!” a little too dramatically. No regrets.

Afternoon: Craft Chaos

We decided to make friendship cards for our plushie community. I got very into the glitter glue.
Too into it.
My paw is still sparkly.
Pandy made beautiful minimalist cards with hand-cut hearts. I made one that said:
“U R 100% SQUISHABLE.”
Which is both factual and heartfelt.

Evening: Cozy Couch Snuggle + 49ers Highlights

We wound down the day with hot cocoa, a soft blanket, and our favorite clips from this past 49ers season. Pandy enjoyed the tactical plays. I enjoyed yelling “BOOM!” every time there was a good tackle.
Mini Blue watched from my head like a tiny plush hat.

Final Thoughts

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about roses or candlelight.
It can be about kindness. Laughter. That plushie who always shares the last cookie.
This day reminded me that friendship is love in its coziest form.
