Snow Day Shenanigans: Plushie-Approved Winter Activities
By Doggie (Certified Snowball Specialist)
Hi again, friends! It’s your favorite plushie adventurer, Doggie, reporting live from a snow pile (well, not right this second—I got chilly and am now writing this under a blanket with hot cocoa).
After the whirlwind of prezzies, Pandy and I found ourselves surrounded by winter wonder and snow much fun (see what I did there?). Here’s how we turned a chilly season into cozy chaos and memory-making magic:
We kicked things off with a classic snowball fight.
Pandy made perfect, symmetrical snowballs.
I made mine extra squishy so they’d go SPLAT!
Mini Blue acted as referee (and emotional support when I got snow up my nose).
Result: I lost. But I looked cool losing, which is basically winning.
We found a teeny sled (okay, it was a cookie tin lid) and took turns zooming down the tiniest hill imaginable. Pandy insisted we wear helmets. I insisted on speed. We compromised by yelling “WHEEEE!” really loud.
I tried to make a snow angel, but plushie limbs aren’t great for wide flapping. It looked more like a snow blob. Pandy said it was “abstract.” I say it’s a masterpiece.
After our outdoor fun, we headed in for serious plushie pampering.
Pandy made peppermint tea.
I demanded marshmallows.
We wrapped ourselves in blankets, watched the snow fall, and listened to gentle music while staring dramatically out the window like moody poets.
Snow play works up an appetite, so naturally:
Toasted mini bagels
Hot cocoa with extra whipped cream
A mystery cookie Pandy said I probably shouldn’t have eaten
10/10 would do again.
Winter isn’t just cold—it’s cool. (Okay, I’ll stop.)
It’s a time for slowing down, bundling up, and finding joy in snowflakes, snuggles, and snacks. Whether you're rolling in the snow or rolling into bed after a big adventure, winter gives us permission to play and rest in equal measure.
Stay warm out there, friends—and if you do try to make a plushie snow angel, send me pictures!
Toasty and tired,
Doggie 🐾
P.S. Pandy said no more snowball fights in the house. Apparently, the sofa is “not part of the battlefield.” Noted.
