Mini Blue’s Mood Watch
By Doggie (with emotional support from Mini Blue
Hi friends, Doggie here—bringing you the highs, the lows, and all the snack-fueled in-betweens of January… as told by Mini Blue’s color changes.
For those of you just joining the blog (hi! welcome! snacks to the left), Mini Blue is my emotional support octopus. He changes colors to reflect how I’m feeling, kind of like a mood ring—except fluffier and with more side-eye.
So let’s rewind the month and take a peek at my official January Mood Timeline, Plushie Edition:
Mood: Hopeful and shiny
We made vision boards. I had a glitter explosion. Pandy used calming neutrals. It was a perfect start—dreams, goals, and high-paw energy.
Mood: Calm but slightly snack-deprived
Pandy made us peppermint tea and read poetry out loud. I pretended to understand it, but I was mostly thinking about leftover cookies.
Mood: Excitement overload
The 49ers won again. I wore my jersey, shouted at the screen, and accidentally spilled snackies during my touchdown dance. Totally worth it.
Mood: Meh.
Laundry day. Pandy insisted on “resetting our space.” I insisted on hiding in the blanket basket. Mini Blue turned this color and sighed.
Mood: Creative chaos
I tried to make a new snack recipe called “Doggie’s Mega Marshmallow Melt.” It… melted all over the kitchen. Pandy was not thrilled. Mini Blue was sticky.
Mood: Chill and thoughtful
We spent the day reading and snuggling. No plans, no drama, just plushie peace. I highly recommend it.
Mood: Mischievous
Let’s just say I may have swapped the labels on Pandy’s tea tins. His “calming lavender” was actually my super-caffeinated breakfast blend.
Mini Blue turned fuchsia before Pandy did.
Mood: Cozy + Confused
I woke up thinking it was Saturday, but it was Sunday. I got dressed for football, but the game wasn’t on. Mini Blue blinked a little. So did I.
Mood: Content and reflective
As I write this, Pandy is sipping tea beside me, Mini Blue is lounging on my paw, and I’m surrounded by crumbs. Life is good. January was weird. But we made it.
Feelings change. Days shift. Sometimes you’re a golden yellow, and sometimes you’re a confused coral. And that’s okay.
Mini Blue reminds me that every color—every feeling—is just part of the plushie ride.
Sending warm vibes,
Doggie 🐾
P.S. If your plushie ever turns fuchsia, double-check your tea.
