Blossoms and Bow Ties: Welcoming Spring in Style
By Doggie (Fashion Forward, Flower Sniffer, Bow Tie Aficionado)
Hi friends! It’s me—Doggie, trotting into spring like a fluffball on a fresh breeze. The sun is out, flowers are blooming, and I’ve swapped my winter scarf for my fancy floral bow tie. You know what that means? Spring is officially here.
So let’s talk all things spring—blossoms, bow ties, and what it means to step into the new season with a wag in your step and a smidge of pollen on your nose.
Pandy and I did a full plushie closet clean-out (see previous blog!) and now we’re accessorizing for the season.
Pandy: Classic red bow tie, polished and timeless. He says, “You can’t go wrong with tradition.”
Me: Floral pattern bow tie with teeny bees on it. I say, “You can’t go wrong with bees!”
Mini Blue doesn’t wear clothes, but he’s proudly carrying a flower on his head like a hat.
We took a walk through the garden and counted all the new blossoms.
I sniffed every single one.
Pandy said I looked like I was doing flower yoga.
🌼 Favorites this year:
Daffodils (sunshine energy!)
Cherry blossoms (10/10 for twirliness)
Clover patches (we found four leaf clovers and made wishes—I wished for snacks)
Springtime snacks are lighter, brighter, and possibly shaped like butterflies.
We made a picnic with:
Strawberry scones
Carrot chips with hummus
Mini fruit tarts
Fizzy elderflower soda (Pandy’s pick—it made my nose sparkle)
Spring is about growth—so we each picked a “spring intention”:
Pandy: “Read more books outdoors and start a compost bin.”
Me: “Nap in the sun and try one new snack per week.”
Mini Blue: Unknown. He changed color to lavender and blinked twice. We’re interpreting that as “Peaceful mischief.”
Whether you’re dressed to impress or just excited to chase bees (carefully), spring is the perfect time to refresh, reset, and re-bow-tie.
So fluff your fluff, dust off your joy, and go greet the new season.
With flowers in our fur and friendship in our hearts, we’re ready for all the sunny adventures ahead.
Freshly bloomed and slightly sneezey,
Doggie 🐾🌸
P.S. If you find a bow tie in the tulips… that was mine. I tripped during a joyful skip.
