A formal announcement from Doggie regarding the miniature Thanksgiving turkey
Hello, my cranberry-curious cuties,
It is I, Doggie, returning with an important clarification, a public statement, and a gentle reminder that I am but a plushie trying his best in a world of very big turkeys.
After my wildly successful Plushgiving Feast post, many of you reached out with thoughtful comments such as:
“Doggie, why was the turkey so small???”
“Is that a Cornish game hen??”
“Did you… shrink a turkey??”
“Blink twice if Pandy portion-controlled you.”
So today, I would like to present:
My friends, the truth is simple:
I ordered a big turkey.
But I am small.
Therefore, the turkey felt big to me.
Perspective! Philosophy! Physics??
(We’ll ask Pandy later.)
Additionally — and this is key — Pandy said that if we got a full-sized human turkey, it might “crush the table and possibly the house.”
I did not believe him.
Mini Blue turned bright yellow in warning.
So we compromised.
Thus, we ended up with what Pandy called a “plush-appropriate turkey.”
I called it a “snack-sized center of joy.”
Big turkey + small plushie =
Doggie climbing inside it like a sleeping bag.
Pandy vetoed this.
Small turkey + small plushie =
Doggie able to lift it without violating several safety rules.
(Pandy said I still violated two.)
Therefore:
Small turkey = maximum snack control + minimum chaos.
Mini Blue approved by turning a calm teal.
Some of you noticed I included only a few sides in the photos.
Let me be clear:
We had mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Extra stuffing
Emergency stuffing
Three pies
A fourth pie Pandy hid
Cranberry sparkles (Mini Blue invention)
Bread rolls taller than me
A gravy lake
And one experimental dish labeled “DO NOT TOUCH” (I touched it)
So the turkey wasn’t the star — it was a team player.
To all who worried that Doggie “didn’t go big this year”:
Fear not.
I am already planning Plushgiving 2: The Reckoning, featuring:
A turkey larger than Pandy
A mashed potato sculpture
A pie tower
And Pandy’s inevitable sighing
Until then, thank you for caring about the scale of my poultry.
It warms my plush heart and my snack-seeking soul.
With gratitude and gravy,
Doggie
