Deck the Halls: How Plushies Decorate for the Holidays šāØ
Hi friends! Doggie here, reporting from the middle of a holiday decorating explosion! š Pandy and I are officially in full Christmas modeāboxes of decorations are everywhere, the holiday playlist is on repeat, and thereās a very high chance Iāll end up tangled in tinsel before the day is over. But thatās all part of the fun, right?
Getting ready for Christmas is a BIG deal in our house, and today, Iām sharing our ultimate plushie guide to Christmas prep! Whether youāre a fellow plushie or a human getting into the holiday spirit, hereās how to make your home feel extra cozy and festive.
The Christmas tree is the heart of holiday decorating, and let me tell youāitās a team effort!
Pandy is in charge of lights. He carefully wraps them around the tree and makes sure everything is perfectly spaced. (I tried to help, but I mostly got stuck.)
I handle the ornaments. My favorite ones are shaped like little snowflakes and candy canes. (And maybe, just maybe, I snuck in a plushie-sized football ornament for good luck.)
The final touch? The star! Pandy lifts me up so I can put it on topāteamwork makes the tree work!
Pro Tip: If you have tiny plushie friends, give them a little Christmas tree of their own. We set up a mini one on the table with tiny lights and even smaller ornaments.
Once the tree is glowing, itās time to deck the hallsāliterally!
āļø Hang up the stockings (Pandyās is elegant, mine has snacks printed on it).
āļø Scatter festive pillows and blankets around the house for extra coziness.
āļø Add some twinkling lights to every possible surface (Pandy says thereās a limit, but I say the more, the merrier).
And of course, we have a very important plushie-sized advent calendar filled with tiny treats and surprises to count down the days until Christmas!
Whatās decorating without some holiday tunes? Our official playlist includes classics like:
šµ āJingle Bellsā (perfect for jingling while decorating!)
šµ āRockinā Around the Christmas Treeā (which I definitely danced to).
šµ āFeliz Navidadā (because it makes everything feel festive).
And after all the hard work, we reward ourselves with a Christmas movie night! š„ Pandy loves The Polar Express, and Iām a big fan of The Grinch (because I admire his snack-stealing skills).
One of the most important Christmas prep tasks is writing our letters to Santa!
Pandyās letter is neat and organized, listing thoughtful wishes and asking Santa to spread kindness.
My letter is a bit longer (what, I like prezzies!), and I make sure to include a detailed snack wish list.
We leave the letters by the fireplace with some cookies and milk for Santa. (I may or may not take a taste test before Santa arrives⦠just to make sure theyāre good.)
After a long day of decorating, we wind down with a warm drink.
Pandy loves a classic peppermint tea.
I go for hot cocoa with extra marshmallows (because thereās no such thing as too many marshmallows).
We sit by the glowing tree, watching the lights twinkle and talking about all the wonderful things weāre looking forward to this holiday season. Itās the perfect way to end a magical day.
Thereās nothing better than the cozy feeling of holiday decorating, and now our home is officially ready for Christmas! Whatās your favorite part of holiday prep? Let us knowāweād love to hear your traditions!
Until next time,
Doggie š¾
P.S. If you need help testing Christmas cookies, Iām always available. Just saying. šš
