By Doggie 🐶 – Explorer, Snack Enthusiast
The Expedition Begins
Armed with binoculars (they’re just empty paper towel rolls) and a map I drew on a napkin, we ventured into the mysterious wilds… otherwise known as Pandy’s backyard.
Mini Blue glowed teal (which I think means “ready for adventure”), and Pandy just sighed, muttering something about “staying off the flower beds.”
The First Sighting: The Fearsome Squirrel
High above us, a bushy-tailed beast leapt from branch to branch.
I whispered, “A rare Snackus Stealerus in its natural habitat.”
Pandy corrected, “It’s a squirrel, Doggie.”
But I swear it winked at me — and made off with a granola bar crumb.
The Second Encounter: The Neighbor’s Cat
We spotted a sleek, silent predator prowling near the fence.
Mini Blue turned pale blue (concern) as I noted in my “field journal” (an old grocery list):
“Subject appears curious. Possibly plotting to steal our snacks.”
Pandy calmly offered the cat a treat, and suddenly we were being followed.
The Most Elusive Creature: The Suspicious Gnome
Tucked behind the roses, we found it: the unmoving, ever-staring garden gnome.
Mini Blue glowed pink (confusion), and I bravely approached with a cracker as a peace offering.
No response. Just that frozen smile.
Pandy said, “Doggie, it’s a statue.”
But I’m not convinced.
The Expedition Wrap-Up
As we retreated to base camp (the patio), we documented our findings with snacks and tea.
Mini Blue glowed mint green (peace).
I whispered, “Another successful safari… but keep your eyes on that gnome.”
Pandy sighed, “Next time, maybe we stick to birdwatching.”
