Spring Cleaning: Organizing the Plushie Way
By Doggie (Clutter Conqueror, Organizer of Snacks, Enthusiastic Distractor)
Hi friends! It’s me, Doggie—fresh out of a pile of plushies and ready to talk spring cleaning. Or, as I call it: The Great Annual Hide-and-Seek of My Stuff.
Spring is all about fresh starts and fluffing things up (sometimes literally). So Pandy and I rolled up our non-existent sleeves and took on the task of reorganizing our plushie lives. Here's how it went… and where it went slightly off-track.
Pandy printed a checklist. It had bullet points. And sub-points. And color-coded categories. I contributed by drawing a motivational doodle that said “Let’s clean this fluff up!” with a marshmallow sticker on it.
We gathered all our stuffies, snack wrappers, art projects, LEGO pieces, and mystery items from the couch cushions.
Pandy: “Let’s donate what we don’t need.”
Me: Hugs everything tighter. “I need it ALL.”
Compromise: I donated the empty snack bags. Pandy said it was “technically helpful.”
Snuggle Central: Softest blankets and fluffiest pillows. Approved for naps and emergency cuddle sessions.
Snack Supply Station: Labeled containers (with tiny pawprint tags!) for biscuits, gummies, and marshmallows.
Creative Corner: Art supplies, story journals, and glitter glue (limited access—thanks to the incident).
Quiet Nook: For Pandy to sip tea and read in peace. I’m allowed if I whisper. (Still working on that part.)
Found: My missing sock puppet from Halloween.
Tossed: A broken kazoo. (Pandy cheered.)
Kept: The memory of us singing kazoo duets. (You can’t clean that away.)
We ended the day with everything in its place… ish. And Pandy said he was “genuinely proud of our progress.” Which made my tail wag so hard I knocked over a stack of folded napkins.
Make it fun—play music, dance, and make piles.
Let go of what doesn’t spark joy… or at least what’s sticky.
Always check under the bed. There might be snacks.
Spring cleaning isn’t just about tidying up. It’s about making room for new adventures, fresh energy, and maybe a surprise marshmallow or two.
Wishing you all a tidy tail and a fluffy future,
Doggie 🐾🧽
P.S. If you find a plush bunny missing an ear—it’s probably mine. I’d like him back. His name is Sir Flopsalot.
